Ruger does sleep in his crate all night but he likes to be in view of his
foster family to know that he is secure and safe. He is learning his basic
commands each day and is getting better with listening and obeying. He does walk
on a leash and we are training him to stay by our sides and not to pull. Ruger
is still working on his potty training and is getting better as the days go by> Unfortunately he had no one to train him.
He is living in foster with 5 cats and another Corso. Although he is fine
with them Ruger wants and needs all the attention a family can give him and he
does not like to share that if he does not have to. He is curious about the
cats but when we tell him no, he will back off and not bother them. If Ruger
were to go to a home that has another dog, he needs the same equal love and
attention given to him, since for his first 9 months he did not receive this
from anyone.
When it comes to meal time he is in 7th heaven. Ruger has learned that after eating and drinking he is to have his face wiped
and will let you with no issues, as well after he comes in from a walk or
running around. He has learned that all 4 paws are to be wiped before he is
able to enter the home.
Ruger is cautious when a stranger does enter the home. He just needs time
to figure out who the person is coming into his surroundings.
Ruger needs to be in a loving and caring home where his new family will
have patience and continue to work with him.
Hi, I would like to know if Ruger is still available. I am very interested into adopting this beauty. Please contact me back at eechevarria2003@gmail.com
