MAJOR : ADOPTED!!!

Major was born on December 12, 2010. He weighs about 110 pounds. Major is one of the most affectionate and loving dogs you'll ever meet. He loves children, babies, cats, and small dogs. He is good with large female dogs but shouldn't live with another large male. Major is pretty mellow.  He is crate trained and house trained.   He walks very nicely on leash without pulling. Everyone who has met him loves him on sight. Major's only down fall is he has hip dysplasia in his right hind leg. Since he is only a year and a half old and gets around well, we are managing his hip with exercise and supplements to strengthen his leg muscles. He will ultimately need a full hip replacement which is expensive and his new owners will need to be aware of that and willing to take care of him down the road. Major is a fantastic dog and is looking for the right home with people who will love this gentle giant!

GURU: ADOPTED!!!
BEFORE- Found left to die

CURRENT

And here is the new, improved Guru!!!  Remember this boy that was left to die by a dumpster last Christmas......  Here is what his current foster mom and trainer says about him:

Guru AKA Goo first made his appearance on CCR's page as a 5-6 month old puppy who was found next to a dumpster left to die. Goo was emaciated, hairless, and his eyes were sealed shut. He was given emergency fluids and almost died in the arms of a CCR volunteer. Goo was then transported to emergency foster care to help get him over his medical issues. Almost 8 months later... Goo is ready for his forever home! Guru has spent some time with a trainer, to help with socialization after his medical issues were cleared up. His skin will probably never be 100% normal, but Goo now has hair! And he can see! Guru is a healthy 90lbs (on the petite side for a Cane Corso) and loves, loves, LOVES other dogs. Guru is wary of strangers, but tends to avoid uncomfortable situations, and uses his crate as his "save haven". Goo is housebroken and crate trained. Goo would do best in a home with Corso experience.

COLT : ADOPTED!!!
BEFORE

Just look how skinny this baby was when he was seized from the breeder :-(

In CCR's Care!

This was a month later, a few days after CCR put him into foster care!!

NOW: On his way to his OH foster mom!
Isn't Colt super handsome?!  Read what his foster mom says about him (she's only had him about 5 days)

**Better pictures coming soon****

This flashy boy is sure to turn heads anywhere you go! Colt was one of the CA puppies, who has finally made his way front and center to the adoptions page! Colt is certainly one gorgeous puppy, in fact, he would like to tell you he is THE prettiest of the litter (the jury is still out on that). Colt is a striking jet-black with splashes of white on his chest and toes. He has a big block head, and long stocky legs, and this boy is going to be BIG! Colt is confident and sweet with a quirky personality. He loves other dogs and people, and is constantly seeking affection, either canine or human. Colt will be a fantastic addition to any household. Colt is working on housebreaking and crate training, but has good manners and is happy to meet anyone new, and everyone is his friend! This big goofball is around 4 months old, and is still ALL puppy. In his short amount of time in his OH foster's home, he has attended doggie daycare and even attending a "learn about the breed" session with lots of people.  He's a great boy.  Are you ready for this gorgeous addition to your family?  Please keep in mind that whomever gets this gorgeous boy, MUST commit to formal obedience training and constant socialization outside the home environment!

Colt's Adoption Donatoin: $450

BUCA : ADOPTED!!!

It happens a few times a year..... CCR gets an OUTRAGEOUSLY AWESOME adult Corso into the adoption program.  Let's just say... Buca is one of those one in a million adult Corsos!!

Hey, I just loved the toy.... blue or pink... it's the same toy!  LOL

Haha... am I too heavy?
And a little from his foster mom:

-->
"Talk about handsome! Buca is a very large, very handsome Cane Corso who loves nothing more then to lay his big head right on your lap! He is one of the most lovable dogs I've ever met. He will almost always be touching me, with either his face in my lap or his hip on my leg. He absolutely loves being with people and so far hasn't met anyone he doesn't love! Buca is wonderful with other dogs but would probably do best in a home without cats. Buca is an older guy but don't let that fool you! He has more energy then his puppy playmate! Buca does not need crated, and does wonderfully when left with free roam of the house. He knows all his basic commands and walks well on a leash. If you have a lot of room in your heart (and also your house) please consider Buca, he is a FABULOUS guy! If you have any questions about Buca, please feel free to email me at klnaf@yahoo.com"

Currently being fostered in OH: ADOPTED!!

Nona is yet another baby Cane Corso from our CA litter (cruelty case).  Don't you just want to kiss that face!!  Nona is a beautiful solid blue Cane Corso with natural ears and tail.  She has an adorable overbite and eyes that tell you everything.  Like her siblings, Nona is slow to warm up.  She needs a family committed to continuing her socialization so that she builds more confidence.  CCR has been working hard to socialize her with people and animals, as she spends most days at a doggie daycare where her foster mom works!  Nona loves other animals and would be best placed in a home with at least 1 other dog (more would be great).  She can also be placed in a home with a cat!!  Nona is wonderful and just waiting for her perfect match!

12.29.11 SAFE IN RESCUE!!

Schoolyard Mikey will be euthanized if we can't find a foster home. Please don't let this happen to this baby. Apply to foster Schoolyard Mikey today!

I give great kisses!

Please foster me!

Mikey is a gorgeous fawn Cane Corso that is about 1.5 years old. Poor Mikey was abandoned in a school yard! He's a big guy that seems to be aware of his size and is quite mild mannered. Mikey is a bit nervous here at the shelter, it takes him a while to warm up and wag his little nub, but once he bonds to you he'll is like glue. Mikey is nervous around other dogs, we're not sure if he's ever seen them before! In his dog meets, he would get a little stiff, sneak in for a sniff and back away. He would constantly look to the people in the room as if to ask what he should do next. Mikey has no issues with food, walks well on a leash (unless he REALLY wants to go check something out) and appears to be housebroken!

THE SHELTER IS FULL AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. :-(  BAXTER NEEDS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE IS THAT YOU????
One lean lovin' machine...that's Baxter!

Shelter report says, "Baxter Brix  is a stunning dark brindle male Cane Corso approximately 3 year old. Poor Baxter was found roaming the streets of Philly. Not sure how but Baxter has managed to stay in great shape, weighing a whopping 106 pounds! Baxter is very happy to have people approach him in the kennel- his little nubby tail starts to really wag! Braxter is a bit hand shy and will hit the floor and army crawl if he feels nervous, but has shown no aggression! He walks like a really good boy on the leash and likes to be pet.
