In early November, Cane Corso Rescue received numerous emails, begging us to save this beautiful girl. Zoe was found wondering the streets of SC. On the Day she was to be euthanized, a devoted CCR volunteer said they would foster Zoe. We were able to save her just before her 2pm deadline! However, a few days later, we learned that the shelter DID NOT disclose some important health issues. Zoe is heartworm positive. Yes, this is treatable, but it is very expensive :-( Zoe will die if she doesn't get the necessary treatment. And sadly, her foster parents already notice that Zoe is sluggish, sleeps a lot, and gets easily fatigued. Poor Darla needs to be treated.
CCR is not in a financial position to take on major medical dogs. If we had known she was heartworm positive, we would have raised the money BEFORE pulling her, or been unable to take her. It's sad to say, but true. But, we have Zoe, she is wonderful, and we will do what we have to do to save her life!
PLEASE DONATE TOWARDS HER CARE IF YOU CAN! $5, $10, etc, HELPS SO MUCH!!! PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TOWARDS HER TREATMENT!
I wish I had found this site sooner. How is zoe? How old is she? She looks like a beautiful girl even when she is sick, I filled out an app for her but your info on her is somewhat vague.
ReplyDeleteI filled out an application for zoe. How long does the process typically take?
