O'Scarlet - PA - ADOPTED!!!!!

 DON'T WORRY SCARLET YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY THE 'THIRD TIME IS A CHARM' AND WE AIM TO FIND YOU A FOREVER HOME. The shelter writes, "Scarlet is a beautiful steel-gray colored Cane Corso who was originally brought to the shelter as a stray when she was found wandering around the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia in May. Since then, Scarlet had been adopted and returned to the shelter twice! The first time she was returned was because she required too much attention and her owners could not give that to her. The second time she was returned, it was reported that she had nipped a family member's finger when he put her food bowl down. She had to go on a 10 day bite hold and has since passed her behavior evaluations with flying colors! She has no issues with body handling or with food. Scarlet is a young dog (probably only around 2 years old) and is defined as a "velcro dog" and needs to gain confidence. A stable home with a foster or adoptive family committed to helping Scarlet learn that the world is not so scary would do wonders for her! Currently, she has a volunteer Pen Pal who spends time with her on a regular basis to teach her new things and to give her breaks from the shelter, but she would benefit the most by going home with someone who understands her needs instead of living in a kennel. Scarlet has gotten along with all of the dogs she has met here at the shelter and was even tolerant of the pushy boys! She showed no interest in cats here at the shelter, but should have another test before being placed with any just to be sure. Scarlet walks great on a leash and is currently learning new commands like "sit", "down" and "stay". Her new family should continue with basic positive reinforcement training, which will do wonders for her confidence level!"
