Update 7.12.11: Simba is safe, a wonderful volunteer is keeping him at his home until he can be transported to his foster home in AR later this week.
SIMBA...URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED... ABANDONED IN A BOARDING KENNEL FOR 4 MONTHS...TURNING INTO HIGH KILL SHELTER IF FOSTER IS NOT FOUND
Heartbreaking story and life for Simba, he was abandoned at a boarding facility in chicago 4 months ago. Simba has been living in a cage and only walked briefly each day. He is beginning to show muscle loss from being crated for so long. He was neutered last friday. The boarding faciclty agreed to keep him until he heals. Well tomorrow will be a week post surgery. They are getting a bit antsy and are talking about taking him to a shelter. I have met him a few times he is a very smart sweet strong boy. Please help if you can before he ends up in a kill shelter. Don't let this boy go to a shelter where he will most certainly be euthanized. Simba is a 5-years old.

just an update on Simba. He is adjusting to his home well. He likes his foster brother and sister. He still has some isues sharing toys but is getting better. he also has some issues with new people but we are working on his social skills. He is still needs to get some muscle built up on his hind legs but has put 5 pounds on since we have gotten him. He is a very loving dog that loves to go for walks and swims. He loves to play fetch and thinks he is a lap dog. he is doing well.
