Handsome Hank is a magnificent, 2-3 year old male Cane Corso.  Hank has changed so much over the last few months, as he has received so much love, attention, affection, and socialization.  Hank was originally Found roaming the streets of New York City. Hank was not fond of the animal control officers and rejected their attempts to capture him. (Often, it is hard for the dogs on the streets to identify the good guys from the bad guys). Our poor Hank required a tranquilizer to ensure his rescue. While in the NY shelter, one of our volunteers visited him to evaluate him further.  It was reported that he was the favorite dog in the entire building. While in boarding, waiting on  a foster home to open up, Hank was again among the favorite dogs!  As stated earlier, Hank has found a wonderful foster home and is doing magnificently.  However, he does need a permanent home!  Because of his size and unknown history Hank will not be placed in a home with small children or small animals. He will, however, be placed in a home with other dogs, as he loves his foster Corso sister.  They play and play and play.  It should also be noted that Hank loves, loves, loves his grandpa!  Yes, Hank's foster mom's Dad is Hank's BEST friend!!
