Ebony is in need of emergency surgery for a broken tibia...she is in a great deal of pain and is not tolerating it very well, even with the pain meds...I will be setting up a chip in for donations...we have a very generous vet who will perform the surgery at cost, but we are still looking at quite a bit of money. Ebony has made monumental strides since I began fostering her...she lived the first 6 years of her life, bred over and over again, confined to a crate 23 hours a day, only to be dumped at the kill shelter when she could not produce....She came to me a frightened, untrusting, emaciated, abused girl who had never known the joy of living with a family...In the past nine months, she has grown to be trusting, loving and secure...taking full advantage of the love and faith we have in her (and of course the belly rubs)...with all the hurdles she has had in her life, this is just a small one for her compared to what she has endured, and we can't let her down...I will do all the work she needs to be rehabilitated, but we need your help..I will post the chip in shortly, so please be on the look out for it...
